ResPower Super/UV adds the following eight commands
to Lightwave Modeler:
-
SUVPolySnap
This tool is really the workhorse of ResPower Super/UV. Its job is to
take two or more adjoining polygons and snap them to each other
along their shared edge.
-
SUVPolyMove
Want to move a polygon in UV-space? Without SUVPolyMove, you've got
to unweld the points, and move the points in UV space. Then you
have to re-weld your points so that your mesh isn't nasty. But, oh wait!
When you re-weld your points, your UV map is trashed. SUVPolyMove
cures this little dilemna, making it possible for you to simply
drag your polygon around in UV space.
-
SUVPolyScale
Just as its name implies, now you can change the scale of a polygon in
UV-space. Give it less texture real-estate if it's not important.
Give it more if it is. It's up to you.
-
SUVPolyRotate
Not all of us are blessed with the talent to visualize our textures
on their side. Now we can rotate our UV map so we don't have to.
New in version 2004.01.26.6 [Beta 1.1]: Ctrl key makes SUVPolyRotate
snap to 5 degree increments
-
SUVPolyStretch
Just as its name implies, now you can stretch selected polygons in
UV-space distorting their original scale.
-
SUVMapExport
This feature converts UV to *.emf or Enhanced Metafile Format
for use with 2D software such as CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator.
-
SUVMapFit
This feature allows you to scale selected polygons to fit UV space
while maintaining their original aspect ratio.
-
SUVFitStretch
Just as its name implies, now you can stretch selected polygons to fit the
UV space distorting their original scale.
