ResPower Inc. is pleased to announce the free beta release of the ResPower Uploader Plugin for 3dStudio Max and Maya. Now users can upload their 3D source files to ResPower's render farm directly from 3dStudio Max or Maya, without having to learn special FTP software.

ResPower is the world's only self-service render farm, a collection of computers that work together to turn a 3d wire frame animation into a full-colored image sequence. 3d animations are very computer intensive, so the use of hundreds of computers is often required to generate them in a timely manner.

ResPower's cofounder, Early Ehlinger, says, "One of our goals for the ResPower Render Farm is to make it as simple to use as a network printer. The Uploader Plugin brings us one step closer to that goal. 3dStudio Max and Maya users can now benefit from the incredible rendering speed our facilities give them without the hassle of packing up their files. It removes a lot of the guesswork. You simply fill in some fields and hit the 'begin upload' button. The Uploader puts everything where it needs to be on our server."

ResPower wraps the power of a massive render farm into a web-enabled application available not only to large and small 3d animation firms, but to architects, graphics firms and mechanical illustrators! Users simply log on to the site and render, almost as if the ResPower render farm were right there in their own facilities. For information on the free Uploader plugin, please logon to www.respower.com.

About ResPower ResPower, founded in December 2000 with a little over 30 computers, has experienced explosive growth to over 250 computers today. Owners Early Ehlinger and Ladd Ehlinger Jr. introduced beta testing of self-service internet rendering in November of 2002 for Lightwave, and have since added Maya and 3dStudio Max rendering. ResPower provides self-service rendering to clients worldwide, for projects ranging in scope from small to large volume rendering for television series and feature films, with clients such as Nickelodeon and NewTek.
